Lands of America data records over $3 billion in land, homesites and other rural acreage for sale in the Garden State, which represents appromixately 42,000 acres of land for sale in New Jersey. Of New Jersey's 21 counties, Monmouth County had the most land for sale. There were 412 acres of sold land in New Jersey recorded last month through the Lands of America sales program. Hunterdon County had the most land sales recently in the state. Of this, some 350,000 acres reside within 121 wildlife management areas specially designated for wildlife and wildlife-related recreation. Garden State hunters enjoy over 100 days of deer hunting season for bow, shotgun, and muzzle-loading rifle hunts. New Jersey ranks among the country's smallest states in terms of size, covering an area of 8,722 square miles (6 million acres). In its entirety, 7,354 square miles is made up of land, while the remaining 1,368 square miles is covered by water. Wildlife to be found on land for sale in New Jersey include whitetail deer, geese, and ducks. Anglers can enjoy casting for bass and trout.
